Alameda · Quartz Countertops
Caesarstone, Silestone, Cambria, MSI — precision-templated and installed in a single day. Gold Coast to Bay Farm, we know Victorian kitchens and Craftsman galleys.

Alameda quartz specialists
Quartz has become the default countertop in Alameda. It looks like stone, acts like engineered material, and never needs sealing — in an island city with ocean humidity and century-old plumbing, "never seals" is a real feature.
We install quartz across every Alameda neighborhood — 1890s Victorian galleys in the Gold Coast with original cabinet boxes, Craftsman kitchens in the West End and Fernside, mid-century ranches in East End, and modern builds on Bay Farm. The install is the same everywhere, but the prep is where Alameda homes need experienced hands. Old cabinet runs sag. Non-standard counter depths surface. Victorian walls are never perfectly plumb. We check all of it before the slab arrives.

Alameda Budget Ranges
Bay Area market ranges we see for quartz installed on standard kitchens — includes tearout, template, fabrication, standard edge, and install. Use them as a budgeting guide, not a quote.
$50–$80/sq ft
MSI Q Quartz, LG Viatera
Solid colors, light patterns. Great for rentals and first-time owners.
$75–$110/sq ft
Silestone, Caesarstone (base collection)
Full color range, subtle veining. The Alameda kitchen sweet spot.
$100–$150/sq ft
Cambria, Caesarstone Supernatural
Dramatic veining, marble-look. For statement islands and owner-occupied upgrades.
Waterfall edges, mitered corners, farmhouse sink cutouts, and small-footprint galley layouts all shift the baseline — we walk through the specifics at template day so there are no surprises on install day.
Install Process
Four steps, every quartz job. Template to install in 5-7 business days.
We come to your Alameda kitchen, measure cabinet runs, check for settling on Victorian-era boxes, and talk through brands and edge profiles. No pressure, no upsell.
Laser templating on-site, 60-90 minutes. We capture every out-of-square wall and non-standard cabinet depth so the slab drops in tight.
Slab cut to spec at our partner fab shop, 3-5 business days. East Bay fabricators keep lead times tight on Alameda jobs.
Install day runs 4-8 hours. Sink and faucet back online next day once the adhesive cures. One team, no juggling.
Alameda Logistics
Like-for-like countertop swap needs no permit in Alameda. Relocating the sink, moving plumbing, or adding electrical triggers a building permit pulled through the Permit Center at 2263 Santa Clara Avenue. We handle the paperwork when it applies.
We come across the Park Street bridge or through the Posey Tube — 15 minutes from our Oakland HQ. Slab delivery day we coordinate tide/rush-hour timing so the fabrication truck isn't bridging at peak. Bay Farm Island adds 5-10 minutes via the Bay Farm Island bridge.
Gold Coast Victorians and West End Craftsmans often have narrow galley kitchens with 8-12 linear feet of counter. Non-standard cabinet depths (older than today's 25-26" standard) surface during templating. We size the template to minimize slab waste on small jobs.
Pre-1900 Victorian homes in the Gold Coast often have original cabinet boxes we shim and reinforce before the slab goes on. Newer crews skip this and end up with unsupported overhangs. We do it right because we've done it hundreds of times.

Why Soto Bay
We are based in Oakland — Alameda is 15 minutes across the Park Street bridge or through the Posey Tube. On the island every week, and we know how island logistics work.
Laser-measured on-site, not guessed from drawings. Out-of-square Victorian walls, settled period cabinets, and non-standard counter depths all get captured before fabrication — that’s why our seams land where they should.
Alameda’s Victorians and Queen Annes have original moldings and trim that took a hundred years to develop. We protect period detail during demo and install — no careless swings, no gouged baseboards.
Your quote comes from a walkthrough, not a price list. We flag narrow island parking, small-footprint layouts, and old cabinet runs up front — transparent pricing, never a surprise on install day.
